How do you guys handle restaurant food in this thing? 90% of the places I eat aren't in the database.

Search the Internet for the nutrition guide for your restaurant (if it has one). Then use the Create a Food or Create a Meal option to manually add it to the database. Sometimes, even if you find the item by name, the data is incorrect and you'll have to add it manually anyways.

Are you visiting unique and one-of-a-kind restaurants?

I will search the Name of the Restaurant and then the item as it is named on the menu. If it doesn't appear and I can't manually add the data from the internet, I will usually just pick an item that approximates what I think best fits.

Good advice thanks! Yeah mostly local places that serve real food. I eat the same **** every time so I may just ask them to do a quick nutrition count for me.

That app has a massive database so you probably will not have a better time on other apps.

If you just want to count calories and not get into macros, try out weight watchers. It's basic cal counting, the UI is good, and they are pretty good about adding restaurant stuff to their database.

No matter what you will need to find nutrition info online then add it to your tracking with any system you use.
