the first and third sky are probably the most realistic/nicest looking ones. A little squished together but still pretty nice. i bet if you redid those with the skybox plugin high fov wouldn't look soo skewed
Hey groove any chance i could get those blue skies to mess with? I could make it look good on certain maps. I personally think that sky would look good on a alien type sky
I know how you can find it. Its tricky but simply do a search for tribes.exe and run all of them one by one, then ctrl alt del and search the path of the current running one. Then again its a lil tedious. Heres a neat resource I found online.
then this one lets you make custom textures. I literally just stumbled on these these two things. TextureGenerator-Online
I've already got some normal maps made for armors no way to make them actually work without a plugin of some sorts.
I remember a while ago the mem.dll for 1.11 (hudbot) used to have a LoD bug where skins (tga files) wouldn't overlay @ a certain distance. any way andrews source for it could be rewritten to support normal maps or at least a 1.4 hudbot (without hm) that would support normal and specular maps.
maybe replacing all the default textures with normal maps then using the 1.4 hudbot to overlay the textures. But for now I guess layer manipulation and illusions will have to work.
