Here's the thing Mitch, most people would agree with not allowing mental patients to own or possess a firearm. The issue is that Americans consider it a violation of privacy to put mentals on a registry unless they're kid diddlers.

You really shouldn't bring up logic or statistics, because none are on your side. 30% of gun deaths in the US are suicides.
