You guys remind me of the people that all told me with certainty that every computer operated system was going to malfunction when the year switched from 1999 to 2000 and the whole world was going to enter a realm of chaos.
The fact that HiReZ is holding onto the IP means nothing, because nothing has changed.
The fact that HiReZ has said "no comment" also means "nothing." It wouldn't be wise for them from a business standpoint to reveal that information either way.
HiReZ also needs to consider that taking Archetype to court would heavily tarnish their reputation and basically label HiReZ as "evil people" in the eyes of many, akin to the likes of EA. They would be risking losing lots of fanbase on their currently successful game "Smite," as well as a great deal of future success if people would be intelligent enough to catch on.
Personally, I don't think HiReZ would be so evil, but I'm not at all certain.
Let's be cereal though, if this does actually go down, it's going to be so much drama, fun, and excitement for everyone to talk about. We win either way.
