This is actually pretty accurate, but doesn't delve deeply enough.
There is always a philosophy behind government, and let's not kid ourselves and pretend that it doesn't still exist today.
The idea of creating two illusory sides and playing them off against one another is the philosophy still used today, known as the Hegelian dialectic. Imagine a coin that you flip, one side being democratic, the other being conservative.
You allow the people to flip the coin as much as they want, because, red is very different than blue. But the people never realize that the two sides are still part of the same coin, that of government.
It is also very interesting to examine the meaning of the word government. Govern from the Latin "Gobernare" (To govern), and Ment, from the Latin "Mente". So essentially the word means "Governance of the mind", or "Mind-control".
The reality is that there is absolutely no solution inside the world of government, because it's job is, and never was about actually helping its populace. It's simply inexcusable that people can't recognize this simple fact, while it's blatantly obvious, especially after we bounce from democrat to conservative, and nothing changes, things only get worse.
Stop believing in the relevance of this system.
Thank you.
