There is Techno (the rough 90's stuff), Techno (the current Berlin wave), Minimal Techno (the softer stuff), Tech-House, Dub-Techno.

There should be at least 5/10 more subgenres within Techno. If you're really into the music you'll get 'em i guess..

I don't know why they have stupid names .

Having listened to the majority of what sehvi posted I have to say I'm bored. This **** is so generic. I say that as a long time listener of electronic music since the 80's and a DJ for the last 10 years. This **** has no emotion, no real movement, nothing. Its all so basic.

To give you an idea of what I listen to and/or spin please google the following (I don't provide links because I am drunk and lazy)

Solvent
Lowfish
Lights out Asia
Anklebiter
Haujobb
Irulan
Proem
Zyxt
Kero Logistics
Richard Devine
Aaron Funk

Those should cover a vast array of genres that either keep you dancing, thinking or chilling at whatever you're up to. None of them generic or catering to the masses because one genre or another is popular at the moment.

The bands listed here are only listed here because they seem to be the popular what ever what have you at the time and will not last anything more than the standard DJ moment of the immediate future. They are forgettable and worthless beyond a few plays on a few dance floors here and there.

No disrespect. Much love. Yada yada blah blah blah.

Im sick of generic ****, been striving for weirder sounds and deep involving soundscapes.

I finally went to the beatport website, after years of seeing their stage at the detroit electronic music festival, and all I heard was boring generic electronic ****.

I like dub, but most of it soudns retarded and too glitchy. Im liking most this stuff, deeper and complex.

Ill listen to your stuff, see where you're ocming from.

That anklebiter is niice, frigid is pulling me in. trying to snag I will wait right now.

In fact, all of of yours are fairly good. Its as if someone ****ed all the fight out of industrial, and this is the whimper left over.

Good stuff, but I keep waiting for something to happen. Guess there's more drops in sehvi's and it keeps me interested longer.

But **** me, are all these ****s obscure. Makes a man want to make youtube playlists.

Yeah I'm not saying the stuff I listed were the end all be all, just what I thought of at the moment. However it is a hell of a lot more than your average dance floor DJ bull****. No disrespect to the DJ's of the world but honestly they are not really pulling out anything that is unique or pulling at the heart strings. Which, in my experience moves a crowd more than your average DJ playlist. For years to come I mean.
