I need to throttle the bandwidth of my roommates. They don't know dick about routers or internet technology. I have a decent connect, but I want to limit their bandwidth usage. I know that in the end game this is a fairly simple task, however I am now using a router I am not familiar with. I've been linksys for most of my time on the internet, I'm now D link. (I know dick sauce about this.)
We have a decent connect where I am at, but I share my connection with 2 other people, and they are of the YouTube generation. I would like to throttle their connections so that whatever I choose to do on the web is not effected.
I need some assistance, I'm a tool. Help me out. Please. Thanks.
Assistance would be appreciated.

We share rent, not an option. I'm not trying to be gay. I'm drunk and out of practice. I know TW has the answer. I don't want to cut them off permanently,I merely wish to regulate their access to our bandwidth if possible.

They don't know **** about networking or the internet, so, whatever changes I make they will not notice. I'm just tired of the stuttering because ******* wants to watch cake boss with his smegol of a wife.

depends on the model you have as to whether or not you can throttle clients, and with a d-link you probably don't have that option

I don't want a guide. I want someone who knows the exact options for me to modify. Sorry.

You'd think that every modern day router would have the option. I'll look up the model number, but our router is less than 40 days old. I would think it'd have the option. Lemme get the model number.
