doesn't seem to like a trailing parentheses

Example

A link that works

Code:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love
Love - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A link that does not work

Code:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_(love)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_(love)

I thought it was intentional. As a contrived example, I can say

"Google (Google) is your best friend"

And it doesn't nab the closing parenthesis.
