Glad to see other TW'ers making successful start-ups. I plan on doing one myself soon and involving TW like this.

Great program, but it's unlikely to replace Ventrilo or TeamSpeak2 because of people's reluctance to download a new client, especially for PUGs.

Good to see Branzone.com is still alive and apparently well.

Most of BF2 and a few people in other games have moved to Mumble last I checked. I haven't see anyone use Voicechatter outside of TW.

I still have a lot of friends using Vent (even though Mumble is clearly better, especially the overlay). People are so stubborn to change...

Is your contributor tag real or did Rayn put it there? We're talking personal money here.

TW is a strong community, you guys can make it happen. Besides one month of voice server hosting for free? Try it.

I liked voicechatter. Tried getting several people to switch over. I was not successful.

You should try harder.

Damnit Yogi, now my reputation on TW is ruined!

But I agree you should try harder. It's a pretty awesome application in my opinion, but I might be a little biased.

Interesting, what is the advantage of this over Ventrilo?

-It supports all 3 major platforms (windows, linux, osx)
-You can run your own servers if you like for free (unlike ventrilo)
-It has a much simpler yet more powerful user permission system based on users/groups instead of ACLs or pre-defined (and uncustomizable) groups
-It's open source (*fully* open source unlike mumble, ventrilo, or teamspeak)
-You have a resident developer standing by

Just off the top of my head.

EDIT: Forgot a biggie:
-Everyone's volume levels are normalized to the same volume level (unlike ventrilo)

EDIT2:
Ok, it was unfair to say that mumble is not fully open source. They just suck at packaging their source code. It's all available on their github, but for some reason it's not all included if you just download the tarball.

Curious, what's unopen about Mumble?

Last I checked I still had an inexplicable issue hosting from a Vista/7 computer in Voicechatter.
