OK, one of the mellow ambient tracks in the stations and such... it finally sunk in that i KNEW this song.

It's Brian Eno, a direct rip of a track from 1975 Another Green World.

Did Eno actually work on this album or perhaps they licensed it? If not, i mean it really is a complete rip...

ill try to figure out which song and then post the brian eno song. It HAS to be licensed cuz when you hear it you'll laugh.

Eno is also the father of electronica ambient music so it's not like... he's no obvious.

I think there are actually several rips... but will take me a while to spot them..

Listen to those crappy quality snippets. If you know this album or know Eno's work in general, you know he plays with themes and melodies. Those are two very short ambient pieces on this CLASSIC album (perhaps the first real ambient electronica).

Now listen to .... and imagine it double speed ...

This rips the exact melodies in those Eno tracks... :D

In fact, most of the music is 100% Eno inspired, but that goes without saying in any drum/bass and ambient music (even if folks dont realize it). Yet this was such an exact MELODY that i found it funny when it finally rung in my head as being familiar.

beneath the asteroids is nice, yea... with the mellow "miles davis" peeks at times.

i generally dig the music for Eve, i admit.

a few cases it's a tad too euro-gay for me, but in general it is very well done and compelling background stuff.

Ive heard Eno all my life, and it took a 40yr old skater/chef at my work to tell me it was him.

Amazing man, has his hands in all types of music.

yea, fripp-eno-belew/krimson scene are amazing, esp if you also include david bowie, talking heads and all the bazillions of groups they've worked with.

everything from electronica to sonic-youth to those contemporary harping guitars... are all from this little posse of musicians.

plus, eno is producer for tons and tons of stuff. i wouldnt be surprised if he literally was involved in EVE but it sounds more like somebody just really inspired by him... (as is almost all ambient electronica)

so, im watching this latest "fast and furious" tokyo movie...

and all i can say is... listen to the music after the 'big crash' abuot 3/4 of the way into the movie
