Re: Laptop Recommendation Fuck this is hard. I'm looking for a zippy laptop with great battery life and a good screen. 15" is the sweet spot. New Apple MBPs cost too much, won't give me miniDVI->HDMI out with sound. Graphics card is stupidly handicapped unless you are using Apple apps...

My desktop dide so I'm looking into replacing it with a laptop. The only thing holding me back is wondering whether it will play nice with my TV (Panny plasma 42px80u 720p). Any issues or definite ways to go with hooking up a laptop via HDMI to my TV to play movies? Any graphics card do or...

Of course, another damn thing breaks. Got home tonight and my comp was frozen. Reset does nothing so I hold power til it shuts off. Restarts but freezes withing a minute. My mouse and keyboard worked, now they don't. Restarted and screen goes to the win recorvery option, hangs at 22 seconds...
