God guided human evolution, but evolution alone guided other species. That's why humans are dominant, because God created them through guided and accelerated evolution.

God also created unicorns for humans to ride, but since they aren't humans they were affected by regular evolution and God could not guide their evolution. Natural selection in turn evolved them into horses, because the unicorns with corns would be hunted by cavemen for their horns. They were hunted to extinction, and this is why we have unicorns in the fossil record but we only have horses today.
