scratches on my monitor

I have scratches on my monitor and i was wondering how i can get rid of them? Is there a special sort of cleaner that may work? Or would i need to replace the entire window frame? If so where can i do it and how much will it cost?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Than even a 21 inch $600 monitor. The glass is already less than a CM thick and if it gets too thin it could implode without warning and that would suck for the user.....like OMG MY EYES MY EYES. I used to be a pc tech at a place that did total monitor repairs and have seen monitors implode it isn't pretty.

very fine wet sandpaper

You work your way through the grains and finish with a satin cloth and a rubbing compound.

If all you have is small scratches don't worry about I am just saying when they goto polish it out it coudl cause a problem if they go to far in.

GreyGhost 10-19-2003 18:19

Try regular old toothpaste to polish the scratches out.

FightNFury 10-19-2003 18:21

Does it have to be OLD?

GreyGhost 10-19-2003 18:23

The older types have better abrasives, not as much bleach and minty crap.

iNVAR 10-19-2003 18:24

uhm, it's not less than a cm thick.

but i still wouldn't do it.

finalheaven 10-19-2003 19:48

There any option such as replacing the entire front glass plate? Taking it to a technician?

Plasma 10-20-2003 07:39

One would think to call a technician...
