[OFFICIAL] Blood Eagle (guild - doomsayer)

Blood Eagle Info

Server: Doomsayer

To get into the guild, just send a /tell to Cromulus, Figgi, Draynar, Breyer or Majere

Blood Eagle has over 50 people so far, with lots of active members. Our aim is to be fairly mellow in general, but to be setup for serious pvp down the road as folks hit 80 in mass. Ideally, we'll be engaged in regular siege events and organized pvp. Make no mistake: we're here for pvp.

Vent is up and running. Officers. No drama.

A top priority is to get tier3 city up so that we can make Battlekeeps for siege warfare. Also on Doomsayer are some TW-friendly guilds such as Serenity Now.

BE Guild City

Situated in the Lacheish Plains is our guild town. For a smaller guild without any 80s yet, we're doing pretty darn good with development so far. Figgi is the guild architect.

To get there from Old Tarantia: head to the southeast exit for Wildlands of Zalata. Then go to the northern exit (to poitan) and use the City Guide there. This will take you to our instance of Lacheish.

All city guides will give you this option.

City Progress (tier1):
  • Keep
  • Trade Post
  • Temple
  • Library
  • Barracks
  • Thieves Guild
  • Weaponsmith Workshop
  • Armorsmith Workshop
  • Alchemist Workshop
  • Architect Workshop
  • Towers (4 done)
  • Lower Walls & Gates (8 walls, 1 gate done)
  • Middle Walls & Gates (x done)
  • Top Walls & Gates (x done)

Building a city takes a lot of resources. Find a fairly comprehensive database of resource node waypoints here: waypoints.tman.be

We request donations into the guild bank of both money and building materials:

Spoiler

Blood Eagle Tips
  • Learn to change instances (yellow triangle on map, may require relog if broken)
  • Save your money for a mount. Dont buy bags.
  • There is a trader in Tortage, so you can make alts with mail access.
  • Download and install the xml node files from waypoints.tman.be

Good stuff, and if any of you guys around level 25 want to group up and **** people up or quest, then I'm in. Give "Hannon" a tell in game or let me know in guild chat.

Draynar 06-08-2008 10:26

Start using vent too! This game takes allot of keyboard control so not having to type is a huge boon in pve and especially pvp.

There are also no books. This is all intentional.

Osmethae 06-09-2008 15:42

i now have AoC

be afraid

WarBuddha 06-09-2008 16:50

1g mount training
2g basic horse

YOu wont see that much until mid-50s unless you use the Trader. Cash picks up nicely in the 50s, generally.

ExarKun 06-10-2008 03:50

I have decided that this game is awesome. Also I demand books in the library. Also, how come the guild to the NE of us has level 76 bears guarding their entrance?! All we have are some retarded moose. They're also building a wall now.

1. **** them. kill them. death to infidels.

2. moose > bear

3. our city has a tower. theirs has a tower. our city has like 7 buildings. 1 for them.

Seriously... we need a formal Kill on Sight policy for all other players in our zone. Why? Because it sets a standard and means that if you intend to farm in our zone you better be ready to rumble. It gets rid of many farmers, too. likewise, it just adds drama and fun to the game. The zone is pve by default, so we can add some flavor and competition to it.

ExarKun 06-10-2008 05:35

I forgot to ask, being a PoM, what profession should I take up to help the guild/me out the most? I'm getting ready to hit 32.

TseTse 06-10-2008 06:30

pick up all gathering skills when you can.

Breyer 06-10-2008 06:53

Profession isn't much important right now, a lot of stuff is broken, so just pick up all the harvesting skills: Miner, Prospector, Stonecutter, Skinner, Weaver, and Woodcutter.

You can make armor and weapons with armorsmith/weaponsmith, but you can't gem them (what actually makes them worthwhile) with gems that gemcutters cut yet.

Alchemy seems to be borked, mats are missing that are needed to advance I think.

TseTse has architect pretty much covered, we really only need one active architect, but if that's your passion then feel free I guess.

Mabelrode 06-10-2008 18:46

I'm still floundering around in the Newb town/island with both my BW members, but I'll get out there soon. I wanna get a good grip on my combat **** first anyway, better to do it now.

Senty 06-10-2008 21:23

Take your time in Tortage, once you get out into the real world you won't have nighttime missions to look forward to every few levels nor will there be any voice overs for the quests.

The voice over thing was a huge disappointment for me. I'm surprised at how much less involved I feel in the game now, before I was really into it.

They should also make you invincible when talking to NPCs.

I'm sick of getting ganked. They either need to fix the instance changing or figure something else out. They're going to implement death penalties soon and as soon as that happens if ganking isn't fixed I'm rerolling on a care bear server.

End game sieges and all of that are PVP on PVE servers right?

Ya.

As a general tip, new players should do all the night time stuff that they can for their level and then flesh out more xp with what's remaining for yellow/red quests.

WarHero X 06-11-2008 04:09

is blood eagle still open? I just got the game and so did my friend.

TseTse 06-11-2008 08:47

Of course.

Blood Eagle will remain open forever, i suspect.

We're just 1g from having all tier1 buildings done, folks!!!! Getting walls up n **** will suck balls, but it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully funcom will enable the bonuses n stuff soon.

TseTse 06-11-2008 18:07

Tier1 buildings done. :boogie:

Just gotta get walls up and get into tier2.

WarHero X 06-11-2008 20:42

Is there a way to know when im out of range of bow attacks with out just pressing the attack button and seeing the message pop up saying im out of range

TseTse 06-12-2008 08:02

All buildings up.

Walls, gates and towers are next.

Nope. Have to eye-ball it.

OK, will do. I also find it interesting to test my PVPing on White Sands. Although I've twice been decapitated.. it was pretty cool to see. And I've throat-ripped a fag or two so far. Need to figure out how to encourage crit fatalities.

TseTse 06-14-2008 13:48

Front low walls and gate will be done today. I will then go around and start putting up the remaining towers so we can be finished with copper (we have enough).

Right now, i want to figure out who's on Tier1 weaponsmithing and armorsmithing.

you do not need walls for tier 2

TseTse 06-14-2008 16:02

I've heard you need at least some walls up.

I could always start finishing the tier1 quests. That may be the right move, actually.

We made the mistake of putting up walls and towers and ran out of money, when we ran through the city next to us they had 0 walls and were tier 2 already. might be a bug? Not sure, but they told us they didn't need walls to hit t2 we were kinda pissed we didn't think to check. lol.

Boomer_941 06-14-2008 20:51

So my roomate is going to pick up 3 copies of the game tonight for all of us in the house, you guys cool with me dragging them into the guild aswell? Two more guys from work may jump off their fagtastic PVE server for a real one

HybridX 06-16-2008 01:59

Buildings give the build benefits, like actual stat improvements. They can also help professions, allowing for higher level crafting.

Tier1 is basic ****. Teir2 gets you higher level crafts.

Tier3 is needed for Battlekeeps and taking over pvp locations on the border zone.
