Pale Blue Dot, cartoon form
It's just the conclusion, and I'm going to need some help here. I've tried to identify all the people in the group drawing, and can't quite do it.
CARL SAGAN: Pale blue dot 1. The woman between Charles Darwin and Michael Jackson--is it Marie Curie? Florence Nightingale? Someone else? I don't know. 2. Between the Dalai Lama and Bruce Lee. . I THINK it's supposed to be Sir Isaac Newton, but he's got straight hair. Every drawing of Newton I've seen shows him with a curly wig or hair or whatever. 3. Extreme back right: Oscar Wilde? If it is, how did he get a ticket to this? 4. Front row, between Jesus Christ and Napoleon Bonaparte. . I have no idea, not even a guess. 5. Between William Shakespeare and Elvis, standing in front of Bob Marley. . I first thought Corazon Aquino but I don't think that's right. . dunno who that is. Enjoy the cartoon and thanks for any help you have. |
Steve Jobs is standing next to Hitler, evil by inference.
4. Front row, between Jesus Christ and Napoleon Bonaparte. . I have no idea, not even a guess. Buddha duh |

Oh man, I had guessed the Mongolian horde guy to be Atila the Hun. Genghis Khan figures more prominently in history (there's a good chance you're related to him), and I should have guessed that.
Also I never thought of Buddha as being young, but that also makes sense. When I think of Buddha I always picture the media's version of the middle aged fat guy with the nice smile. |
thats supposed to be me
