There are countless studies that prove this out. Masks don't work for spreading/contracting viruses. And this is ignoring the fact that people are not using a mask with sterile surgical gloves for a short period of time and then throwing them out. They're using them for weeks or months. Cloth ones are hardly ever being washed. That means they're just trapping EVERYTHING that manages to stick. How many people are sterilizing their hands before putting on a mask? No one. Wearing masks pointlessly and recklessly will only increase the chance of contracting/transmitting a disease.
Masks don't work for that purpose. All current science/evidence/research unequivocally says so.

Wearing just respiratory mask doesn't keep you from catching the virus because the masks really don't seal THAT tight and you can still get the virus through your eyes and ears. The only kind of 'mask' that will keep you from getting it is a full on respirator that covers your entire face, but then you also need to have what is referred to as a 'bunny suit', that is more or less a pair of medical overalls that covers you from head to toe and has like a hoodie on it that covers your head as well.
When you go to the doctor for knee surgery for instance. The doctor is wearing a mask when he opens you up. Thats not because he's trying to keep from catching something from your open knee, its so he doesn't breath germs into the open wound and cause infection.
Masks aren't needed all the time. Its pointless to wear one driving by yourself or when you're in an open air environment and there isn't a lot of people around. When you're in a tight or enclosed space with a lot of people, probably a good idea to wear one. But you do you.
1.) Viruses like this are spread when aerosolized (although they aren't sure if corona falls into this category, let's assume it does for safety's sake). Large droplets quickly fall to the ground and you don't breathe them in unless you are standing RIGHT ON SOMEONE'S NUTS. You know, gravity and physics.
2.) The smaller particles (aerosolized ones), linger for hours. They go right through and around masks.
3.) Masks are also highly infected. You and everyone else keeps using them. You touch them. You keep them in your car. You keep them in your pocket. You touch other things and then touch them. They are horrendously infected with everything. You are not surgeons in the operating room. You are not sterile and throwing them away after a half an hour's use.
4.) Masks carry everything large that you breathed out AND breathed in. This means when you do sneeze or breathe heavily, the larger particles on the mask get aerosolized right back into the air and then go through/around other people's masks. Wow, logic. Weird how that works.
5.) Masks also reduce the size of larger particles from your breathing out into SMALLER ones that actually do get through. These smaller ones linger in the air far, far longer.
6.) Let's pretend the coronavirus was actually dangerous (quick fact: it isn't), the best way to protect yourself and others is to stay home, or at bare minimum, stay far away from other people and avoid populated, dense locations. Also, constantly sanitizing everything, like your hands, steering wheel, controls, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. If the coronavirus actually spreads easily when aerosolized (viral load is high enough), then basically going near anyone is going to get you infected as well.
7.) Doctors wear masks to prevent their saliva from getting in your mouth, eyes, and in particular, open wounds when they are IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO YOUR PERSON, you fucking retard. They don't wear masks to prevent you from getting the flu that they have. If they have the flu (and it's still in the contagious stage), you are now fucked and have it too. Read a fucking book, retard. It's not our fault that you morons thought that masks prevented viral transfers.
8.) Hospitals also have insane filtration systems to help clear what? No, it isn't large droplets that fall to the floor quickly. It's for the things floating in the air.
9.) There's a reason why masks under controlled settings in laboratory settings (possibly with faulty testing methods on occasion) "help," but then in the real world there isn't any evidence and sometimes it's the opposite.
