[so] the added insulation batts blocked the airflow, and the origonal blown insulation wasn't even to the wall. The rotten wood started right where the insulation was stopping the air and towards the peak.
I'm taking this picture from the garage side where there's no insulation yet. The OSB I added a few years ago but haven't blown insulation in yet. The rotten wood starts where the insulation is.
So this was neat. The roof sheathing was rotten and saging here, so someone got into the soffet and built a little bird house to support it from below.
