No, the Epipen issue predated the 2016 elections. I had a family friend that I remember talking about it back in.... Shit 2012, 2013 I think, somewhere in there, because the price for an Epipen went from costing them like $25 (out of pocket) at the pharmacy for one, to suddenly having to buy a two-pack, because the company (not the pharmacy) wouldn't sell them in singles, and their insurance would only cover $100, but still have to pay around $250 out of pocket for the two pens.
Mind you, these pens have a pretty short shelf-life, and while they're really good to have one hand, most people don't need them, and forcing them to buy two just to throw them away is pretty fucking retarded.
