WASHINGTON (Circa) — A man in Scotland is in a coma after an English bulldog bit his penis and testicles, The Daily Mail reports.

When emergency crews arrived on scene, they found the man unconscious in a pool of blood. The man lost his penis and both testicles as a result of the incident.

Once the man was transported to the hospital, he was induced into a coma. Meanwhile, the dog who is responsible is being held in a kennel while the investigation into what happened continues.

Authorities are unaware if the dog belongs to the man who was bitten.
