Here's the other thing that is messed up. The car she was driving was a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The 2017 model has lane assist and auto braking. Whether that would come on the rental car model, who knows. And whether the auto braking would have worked, I don't know. It could have caused a pancake because there was a truck behind her she just passed. But yeah, in the future these kind of accidents will be reduced.

I don't know what she's going to do now that the dog is gone. She doesn't want to work in an office. She already volunteered at church, and worked for a foster care center for a year before that fizzled. We had the dog at that time. Her arms are still messed up, she's not ready to work. But yeah, she'll have to find something to do. She won't be driving, at least not now. She doesn't even like being in a car, and she's already cared for old people in the neighborhood. That's about the only thing she can do, but it doesn't pay much because she sells herself short. But yeah, I'll have to have a talk about what she's going to do, otherwise she'll sit at home bouncing off the walls.
