Why are we even comparing this to Pearl Habour? 9/11 was horrible, it woke the US from its static slumber, but for fuck's sake don't start comparing this to World War II.

and we need to stop alienating our allies. The only way to fight terrorism is to unite the world against it. Fight it just like you would fight organized crime or pirates in the 1700s. You need unity in everyone oposed to it. Without unity we're infact fighting someone who is better than us. When they need to work together, al Qaeda, Hamas, Martyrs Brigade, Jihad for unification, they all work perfectly together in cooperation. The only one that's stood up against them is al Sadr that was also against us, and the only reason he did that was because we alienated him just like Bush has alienated our middle and lower classes.

We werent even a warring nation all that much before pearl harbor. we were keeping out of wwII altogether, had no desire to get involved. That one action mobilized almost every male in this country of fighting age to the point that 98% of our workforce in this country for the next 5-6 years was female and nothing else. food rationing, fuel rationing, civillian staffed civil defense, anti aircraft implacements in civillian areas on the coastlines, entire cities following blackout rules on a regular basis.

We had a huge population explosion when soldiers came back...

9/11 happened, people were pissed for about ohh...6 months...we sent a good chunk of our military to the area, made a couple t-shirts and dvd collections and now it barely warrants attention when mentioned on the news.
