you members/vets weren't even here for the whole fiasco, it was insane.

I was a senior in highschool, and went down to the ROTC room (my old highschool had a top notch marine corp JROTC program, one of the best in the nation), and watched it on their big screen projection TV they had, I was just like "wow".

Changed the debate topic we had that year in a few ways, since it was "weapons of mass destruction".

Damn good thing it didn't hit lower on the tower. That much structural damage on the lower floors might have compromised the structural integrity of the building.

As cool as it sounds, having a building of that size collapse would be extremely terrifying.

hmmmmm.

Yea, at the time I wasn't thinking that the fire would weaken the structure of the building enough to bring it down.

The moment I saw them burning like they were I knew they wouldn't survive. There is no way they could have possibly put those fires out.

Oddly, that was one of the first things that I thought of. I did not think that the entire tower(s) would fall, but I assumed the top part probably would. All that jet fuel, all the combustible material, all the weight above the impact locations.
