Plane crashes into World trade Center

Just signing this thread, my prayers go out to anyone who may have family members that were involved.

Maybe we are looking at the wrong people? Maybe we should look at ourselves.

A correspondant mentioned something that made me think...why are we making all these enemies? Why are they so pissed off that they go and commit suicide to prove a point?

Maybe we should look at our own American policies to see what is making everyone so angry at us, and try to change them.

First of all my sister was in the building 3 DAYS ago. OMFG that scared the fuck out of me... ahhh :cry:

Second of all.. I was within 1/2 a mile of where both planes went off.. AT THE SAME TIME. My school (BC High) is right next to Logan. I probably saw the plane out of the window when I was daydreaming in school. :(

dude, that speech contained no new information, said nothing that hadn't already been said, and repeated the same message constantly in differents words: 'terrorist bad. not like terrorist. kill terrorist.'

Don't know much about the purpose of political speeches do you Refried? They aren't a FYI. They aren't a FAQ. They are about reassurance. The facts get disseminated on little pamphlets to the news crews.

Besides what facts did you want him to give? The death toll (he doesn't know yet), the culprit (he doesn't know yet), and other information NO ONE knows for sure yet? Maybe the serial number of the missile we will use to get whoever did this?

We can never please everyone. No matter what we do there will always be someone out there who feels smited. We are what we are. We use our wealth and power to make the world into what we see as ideal. These terrorists take the lives of innocent people to make the world into what they see as ideal. I like our ways better.

I haven't read the whole thread but a lot of people are worried about nukes it seems, that won't happen.... why?

Anyone else think that the last plane that crashed, the one that landed in a rural area, was shot down by American aircraft?

They couldnt/wouldnt likely tell us that an American fighter was forced to shoot it down, but would/should take extreme measures when they believe a threat like that is coming. The last plane happened long enough after the originals for the Air Force to have gotten reports of any off-course Airlines, two of same airline hit the Trade Towers so it's likely that if a 2nd hit the Pentagon it would be the same as the first, and lastly an attack coming soon at our military's headquarters would be dealt with severly... regardless of the circumstances ( citizens on the plane ).

Wow, my condolences to all involved. Its too bad so many have to die at once to bring national attention and actual action on terrorism.

As far as the Palestinians go, perhaps many of them feel oppressed, but they live like kings compared to many countries in Africa. Israel is w/out a doubt NOT innocent of transgressions against Palestinians. But one always reacts violently to the other, its been going on for thousands of years. Israel is not any more responsible for the lack of peace than are Palestinians.

The Middle East has been a see-saw of different groups in control of Israel over the last 2000 years - Jordan and Syria to name a few. I don't think those countries would be aiding Jewish people if they were being "oppressed". It's just another ugly facet of racism that continues to exist in the world.

And last I read, the Israelis usually use rubber bullets and tear gas against rioters. Sounds like bloodthirsty bastards bent on the destruction of Palestinians everywhere to me. Especially considering the VERY unpopular land seccessions they made to the PLO in the recent peace agreements. =P
