Plane crashes into World trade Center

My daughter is at school. She's in first grade. I called and talked to school officials. They haven't told the kids anything about what is going on. The buses here will run as scheduled. How do you explain this to a child?

Can you imagine being all set on a routine flight one minute, slamming into the side of a building the next?

I don't think I could stand for that if I was on the plane.... Probably get myself shot trying to do something.

While a horrible thing to have happen, the entire island of Manhattan isn't on fire. Yes, they did say they could see it from space but I live 30-40 miles from the city and you can't see the cloud unless you are standing on a beach. Please don't spread misinformation at a time like this. It is a bright, sunny day here.

As far as the idea that our own hatred spawned this - that's ignorant. US foreign policy isn't based on hate. I would love to hear what the families of all the Arab people who worked in the Trade Center have to say. I am sure they want the situation recitified just like most victims here. Furthermore, I would like to know if the Palestinians or whoever was supposedly "celebrating" this to know what it is like to have this kind of attack carried out on their people. It would be like destroying a sizeable chunk of thier population. I highly doubt they appreciate the scale of what has been done. I don't think some of the disenters here realize the scale of this attack. There will be a war and if needed I will be one of the first to sign up. Not for revenge but because fighting whatever evil created this plan would be a truly just cause.

Almost no one would... who knows what happend on those planes...

Either they had no knoledge of what was happening, or they were shot or controlled by other means...

If you have been in a 767, you would know that getting up from your seat and rushing a a person with a gun even a couple of iles up would be quite a feat.

Sadly, you are very right. The fact that there are people so hatefull that they would plan and execute something like this, should make us rethink alot of things we do as a country.

Sometimes the world just makes me sick to my stomach... Just heard on the news now that someone phoned in a bomb threat to one of the major hospitals in NYC, which resulted in the complete evacuation of the facility - quite possibly causing numerous people to lose their life due to the lack of care from the evac.... Probably some dumbass kid like some of the kids that post on here, thought it would "funny". What a fucking sad and pathetic animal humankind has become.
