It is hard to hit a switch before someone puts a bullet in your head after coming through the door seperating the pilot and passenger compartment.
You can bet the terrorists knew how to fly the plane.
For God's sake, the pilots were dead. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, the planes wouldn't have been shot down even if there was enough time.
Pearl Harbor had less casualties than this. Dubya better start talking about war and fast.
AgnoStick 09-11-2001, 11:59 AM Where were the structural engineers warning of the tower going down?
Obviously these terroists had knowledge of the damage this would cause to integrity the the towers. I would think the terrosits knew all along it would bring them down.
Also Governor Swift in Mass. has shutdown state services. This was the announcment from our college.

WITH WHO- TERRORISTS?
Varnish 09-11-2001, 11:59 AM any major data store in that building probably had off-site backups. working in that building with a history of terrorist attack i would think it would very much be a concern to the data center folks.

Kurten (AFO) 09-11-2001, 12:00 PM You know I don't understand one thing...
Did the first plane impact to the one tower set the OTHER tower on fire also? because that's what it looks like in the video of the 2nd plane crashing into the 2nd tower.
I'm honestly surprised they didn't take out the statue ofl iberty. Not enough civilians for them I guess. Bastards.
fedex 09-11-2001, 12:00 PM 'I president bush am declaring war with all terrorist.. if you are a terrorist and wearing a black hat and a black cape we will shoot at you.. that is all'

some of the changes that will occur in our country because of this:
1) air marshals on every flight with shoot to kill orders
2) pilots instructed in how to kamikaze plane safely so only those on the aircraft will die.
3) fighter aircraft on combat air patrol over all major cities so that if a plane is hijacked, it will be shot down if it tries to get anywhere near a major metropolitan center.
4) increased budgets for defense, intelligence and missile defenses.
5) the eventual extermination of the entire organization responsible for this.
6) preemptive strikes against any and all organizations that look like they may be a threat to the United states.
we will have our revenge, and if the government won't do it, the american people will, one way or another.
#4--well since one of the counter-arguments to Bush's missile plan is that terrorists are more likely to attack from WITHIN our country than launch a missile, I wonder if that money will be diverted.

what an idiot...they didnt care about that...just that they could hit it was enought to put fear in the minds of America...The act itself was the target.
The most acurate report I have seen on this seems to be that the aircraft struck the Hellicopter on the pad next to the building, hitting a portion of the building itself.
My guess is they hit that hellicopter on purpose hoping to take out what ever high level executive may be evacuating, but that is just a guess on my part...
Not one bit of this seems accidental...

How do you declare a state of war against a bunch of terrorists? You don't. You simply act. Putting a label on it is pointless and if there's a single individual anywhere in the world who has heard about this and thinks we won't retaliate, they're complete idiots.

Don't know about all that, but I'm positive that security in airports is going to become super tight. I can't think of any other way terrorists could have gotten onto those planes. Obviously, the security team at the baggage checks in Boston screwed up big time.
