CapnPyro 09-11-2001, 10:45 AM hopefully they begin actively tracking terrosists and assassinating them for now on. 09-11-2001, 10:46 AM Originally posted by T-Refried-455 hey, I know, thousands of people have already died, so let's go send off thousands more to kill and be killed. you people are not thinking rationally. war is the last thing we need. No response or an ineffectual response will invite even more attacks on US soil of this type. Scud 09-11-2001, 10:46 AM FYI LONDON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden warned three weeks ago that he and his followers would carry out an unprecedented attack on U.S. interests for its support of Israel, an Arab journalist with access to him said on Tuesday. Abdel-Bari Atwan, editor of the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper said Islamic fundamentalists led by bin Laden was "almost certainly" behind the attack of the World Trade Center in New York. "It is most likely the work of Islamic fundamentalists. Osama bin Laden warned three weeks ago that he would attack American interests in an unprecedented attack, a very big one," Atwan told Reuters. "Personally we received information that he planned very, very big attacks against American interests. We received several warnings like this. We did not take it so seriously, preferring to see what would happen before reporting it." Atwan has interviewed bin Laden and maintains close contacts with his followers. Two planes crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center as office workers began work on Tuesday morning, causing the south tower to collapse, eyewitnesses said. In Washington, another plane crashed next to the Pentagon, a U.S. official said. Eyewitnesses said the building was being evacuated. The White House and State Department were also evacuated. A Palestinian group claimed responsibility, Abu Dhabi television said. President George W. Bush called it an "apparent terrorist attack," and pledged the U.S. government would "hunt down" those responsible. Diabolic 09-11-2001, 10:46 AM Originally posted by AKA Panama Jack And if we do not overwhelmingly respond we will be giving sanction to others to do the same thing. You have to return the horror back upon them in a magnitude that noone will ever want to try it again. Amen. And as of today... enough is enough. nostratic 09-11-2001, 10:47 AM My God... my wife just came home early from school, woke me up (I work nights), took my hand, and led me to the TV. My God. All those people. ZProtoss 09-11-2001, 10:47 AM Originally posted by AKA Panama Jack And if we do not overwhelmingly respond we will be giving sanction to others to do the same thing. You have to return the horror back upon them in a magnitude that noone will ever want to try it again. Exactly. Once we figure out the people/nations responsible, we will retaliate more than likely with far more overbearing force, and disassemble that country piece by piece, by god's grace we will repay every single bit of damage they have done to us, with over triple the payback. As for the palestinians, and the islams if they really think attacking us like this (if it is them), is going to get them on our "good side". Heh. Can you say the dissolving of the country of palestine? Heat 09-11-2001, 10:49 AM War has already been declared by a bunch of fanatics. We will respond swiftly and decisivly at the appropriate time. If your initial reaction isn't wanting to take revenge on this, then you are fucced in the head. My boss is retired FBI and his son is currenty head evidence tech in the Philadelphia office. I'm sure he will be going to one of the scenes to help as he always has at the previous acts against americans. I may get some inside info. Probably not for a day or two as he'll be too busy. Bin Laden foretold this 2 weeks ago when he said there was to be an unprecedented attack on americans. Unfortunate the anti-terrorist division wasn't able to thwart this. NetStalker-n202 09-11-2001, 10:49 AM this is crazy for as much as I bash America, this is a tragedy, as a Canadian this hits home, although America and Canada are 2 countries we are like one culture, one people. what is even wierder my boss got sick on wed, if she didnt I would have been in Manhatten right now. half the sky 09-11-2001, 10:50 AM Where is Bounty? Phalanx 09-11-2001, 10:50 AM I heard up to the plane that crashed into the pentagon, then ran to class... just found out that the towers actually collapsed, i cannot fucking believe it... I'm from there but out here in PSU now. My mother worked in tower 2, floor 87, up to 6 months ago till she was moved uptown... She was on a bus passing right next to the tower as the first plane hit... I cannot imagine the chaos in the city, and seeing the city without them... very sad day for NY and the world. 09-11-2001, 10:50 AM I can't belive that both towers collapsed. I have a few questions, with all the technology and super power that America supposedly has, how can it let not one but two planes 20 min apart fly so close to those buildings and let them collide. I mean, I would expect them to gun not the first(I can understand the 1st.) but the second one down? Seams fucked up to me. We should have just started blasting down all passenger jets that dared to fly over New York City, on the speculation that the first crash was a deliberate act and not an accident. Jesus Christ. Get a clue. 09-11-2001, 10:54 AM 20 min. not long enough? Borati 09-11-2001, 10:54 AM Right now Denmark is in chok about the attack, everybody is sad about it and i know all thoughts are going to u guys in usa..... Damn this is a sad day Phalanx 09-11-2001, 10:54 AM Attaching SAM's to the towers would shot the plane parts all over the city... Capaholic 09-11-2001, 10:54 AM I wonder if this takes the air out of Dubya's plans for his anti-missle defense system. CapnPyro 09-11-2001, 10:55 AM how the fuck should i know? probably not considering the beauracracy, theres stages to these things you know. Cannonfodder 09-11-2001, 10:55 AM What we need is not war. Those who have see one know what I mean. Too many lives will be lost for no good reason. What we need to do is use our heads here. Now- We know that the US has agents "watching" and gathering infomation in undisclosed areas of the world. It seems that 'The Big Bad Bully" that we have been made out to be so many times needs to step out and get some LUNCH MONEY. None of this shit that we are better than that... Counter Strike the game seems to be a good idea. Those who say that they did this should be hunted down. Rooted out and made example. I have always been the calm cool clown but right now- since family and friends are in DC and NY I'm a tad unstable. Yahoo Picture Library --> http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/g/ts/?u Some of the larger airports are having a plane land every 60 seconds. When you are talking about how close the major cities are, you are dealing with hundreds of planes in the air. | ||
