What version of demo cam did Meradion use?

I've got the plasdemocam, it is great, especially since you can toggle between all the cameras and the first person view. But it lacks a few things which Meradion still seemed to pull off.

First of all, with the plasdemocam you can't change the democam speed as you are moving. If you change speed, the camera will stop and you have to press the direction key again for it to start moving with the new speed. This is one thing I can't see in Legacy.

The second thing is that it's really hard to get smooth pitching with plasdemocam since you have to turn it around with your own hand. This is another thing that looks different from Legacy (in some cases, not all). My guess is that when he moved his hand slightly in either direction, the camera would start turning that same direction automaticly, and would keep turning so forever, until he moved his hand again. And the faster he turned it, the faster it would rotate.
That would explain how he could rotate around bases and actions so smoothly, which would be pretty much impossible to do with your own hand.

So does anyone know which version Meradion used? Because it can't have been the plasdemocam, it lacks too many features.

Or, could anyone please edit the camera to make these things possible?

The best would be if you could adjust the speed with ur scrollwheel, up = faster, back = lower speed (without making the cam stop obviously), and then also implement the constant rotation thingy.

Would help me with the movie a lot.

Sorry for the retarded english, it's so hard to explain things when english is not your native language. :(

perhaps someone can write a bind to turn (yaw/pitch) with the arrow keys?

then you simply set the sensitivity and hold down a button

Could work, might be really hard to steer, will test it, and i still need to be able to adjust speed while camera is traveling.

there are demo scripts which you can set demo speed via number hotkeys 1,2,3,4

my understanding was that someone helped meradion write "dolly" style routes for the democam so he could get a smoother pan than doing it by hand

Allright, now the camera keeps on moving when I hit either direction, but I can not stop the camera nor change speed. :( Maybe some error in the code.

W - Move forward
Control W - Stop forward movement
etc.
If you are moving forward and right you'll need to stop movement in both directions using 'control d' and 'control w'.

Ah now I get it, when i hit ctrl + direction, the camera stops, so that works, but I can't seem change the camera speed. :( I scroll all I can and when I hit the same direction key again nothing happens. I have tried to unbind the scrollwheel in options aswell, but didnt help.

Have you tried it urself?
