I'm planning on updating to windows 7 today, and that means reinstalling WoW.

What's the best way to do this so that it doesn't take 3 days to get it all patched up?

I'll save all the ____downloader.exe and ____patch.exe files from the root dir, as well as the stuff in the Patches and Updates folders. Should I back up and restore the whole Data folder too, or will that get things out of sync?

Just save your interface directory and download the full game off their site while you sleep.

You dont need to install any updates in between the CD copies of the game. Just install vanilla - TBC - Wotlk then download the full 3.2.0 patch from any bitorrent of filehost you like (it's 1.2gigs) and then its another 40mb patch to update it to 3.2.2 or whatever we're on.
