[casual player] pvp weapons

so the only way to get pvp weapons now is through arena, right?

what's the arena grind like? does it take forever to get enough points for anything? battlegrounds seem to be pretty consistent honor, which is nice, and im getting some decent gear, but i need some better weapons =/

any tips or suggestions?

1850 weaps are amazing for the little effort/time it takes to get them. They all cost around 1k arena pts and then either 35k (1h) or 50k (2h) honor. You can still get them from 2v2 (2200 weaps require 3v3 rating). You should be able to get 1850 easy using boe epic weaps, unless you're super terrible, then you might need to get a better one from an instance to help carry you more.

1k arena points take about what as far as time?

i remember people used to say that you had to do 10 matches a day to get points...still true?

For someone casual, it should only take two weeks. 1850 rating gives you 637 arena pts. No, you only need 10 matches a week and your personal rating must be within 150 of the team rating to get arena pts based off it. You also need to participate in 30% of the total matches played on the team in the week.

It's 1800 now. 1100 arena points, 50k honor.

Everything was dropped by ~50 points or so.

You can't get shoulders/title/2250 weapon from 2s. It's not that hard to get 1800 in 2s unless you're literally just starting out. Then it's a matter of grinding BGs.

Oh, and you HAVE to have 1800 personal and team rating to buy it, though, like iczer said, you just need to be within a certain amount of rating to get the team points.

I really need to do this; I have 500 resil, I could probably start climbing now.

You can get 1800 wearing the crafted blue pvp gear and epic weaps if you're good. It's really not hard.

I stopped playing a while ago, but IIRC, you start losing points when your team rating and MMR match up? Something like that?

You don't lose points till about 1100-1200 rating. And then it's based on how the MMR matches up I believe.
