Auctioneer

Who here uses it and what kind of success have you had with it? I have been using it for a week and do well, but I don't search for anything specific. Just curious what the rest of you search for or if you just do a general search.

I only really use it to do mass-auctions.

I used to be the AH king, but economies are all fucking whacked out now.

I've been lazy recently and haven't been doing it but I was using it to find underpriced items to disenchant for profit, find things listed for less than their vendor value, batch auctions (one click to list a large amount of items). The advanced searches are really powerful if you take the time to set them up and learn to use them. There are also occasionally some quirks that can throw off listing prices that you have to learn to watch out for.

I always used it for mass postings of items.

It's how I made gold in BC. I only made like 10k because I never needed much and only messed with it during raids (on second PC), but some people in my guild would move 40-50k worth of merch. every day.

max out alchemy and/or JC and make gems and flasks. Buy low during weekends etc, sell high at raid hours.

I used it very briefly in BC, didn't make much money off of it (but made some). Just didn't seem like it was worth the effort unless you planned on stalking the AH all day just to snag low posts. Seems like there are much easier ways to make money :shrug:

When I was doing it I was doing it in like 30 minutes a day to put in bids, disenchant things, get things out of mail and relist things. Takes about that long to do dailies.

Tuesdays seem ripe for this, a couple of times when Tuesday rolls around and you need quick flasks they are almost always gone from the AH or they are at stupid prices. One of my friend's guildies tuned into this and started to buy out all the flasks and flask materials Monday night and simply resell on Tuesday and make some decent bank.

And FYI I don't make bank, I simply sell what I find/gather slightly undercut and sometimes poke around in specific areas. I make enough with that and dailies to cover whatever I feel like doing at the time.

Had to do that a few times on Archimonde, after a week I started picking up flasks at odd parts of the week. Usually near the end around weekend time. Trying to get quick flasks without mats on a Tuesday was just a bitch in general.

I use it to price out mats for epic gems and flasks. Normally get a better turnaround with it and less manual searches.

Does it still chug your system?

i use this to scan for for accurate pricing. after auctioneer changed i found this and it works great for me.
