Vermillion1 09-13-2009, 03:29 PM I paid $13.95 for 1650 gold for my fresh new account.
I get the gold.
An hour goes by I get a whisper from the same Level 1 that gave me my gold before to come to SW for my gold.
Hmm? What?
Sure enough, those dumb chinese gave me another 1650 gold for free.
:domotwak:
m00g00 09-13-2009, 03:31 PM you're the dumb one for paying for gold in the first place

Vermillion1 09-13-2009, 03:35 PM Seriously, you guys gonna rage over 14 bucks?

Mangle-Me-Elmo 09-13-2009, 04:57 PM yea
it's not really all that dumb to buy gold
Nail Bomb 09-13-2009, 05:54 PM buying gold isnt that big of a deal but some of these virgins in here spend about 10 hours a day playing wow every day.
of course they are going to you its bad when its their life and its a casual hobby for yourself.
HaPpY 09-13-2009, 06:07 PM actually buying gold/items is the most pathetic thing you can do an mmo.
the whole point of these games is to enjoy the challenge in earning/acquiring gold/items. if thats not fun for you, theres really no other reason to play. raiding? nope... no one continues to raid an instance after theyve received all the loot.
FalseMyrmidon 09-13-2009, 06:31 PM I bought gold back at level 60 because gold was hard to get back then and I didn't want to farm. They ended up sending me the gold twice.

Cept Ive been playing since 2004 and have sold my accounts whenever I get burn out. Now Im back after a 4 month break and I like to level up on a fresh new account.
What I do not like is:
1. Leveling with crappy gear
2. Leveling with no bag space
3. Not having my riding gold ready when I hit the appropriate level
4. Having low health (more health chants+items more mobs I can fight without resting)
Just to mention a few things

Well, except to help hook their friends up, since those same friends probably helped them get the loot.
But yeah, I don't see the purpose in buying gold.

Really? Low health? It's not as if WoW is the most challenging game to level up in. Do you really think having a bit more health is going to have that big of an impact? It's no wonder you need to buy gold. It sounds like you're wasting it.
I bet you go to the AH every few levels to upgrade your items, even though the upgrades are usually very insignificant.
WoW is a very easy game to make money in, and with minimal effort.
so basically you two have no clue why people would want to cheat at some lame computer game?
ok
Adroit 09-13-2009, 07:29 PM OMG HEY GUYS HE BOUGHT GOLD LETS ALL LAF RIGHT?

Armor not so much, but mainting fiery enchant on new weapons (Im a rogue, so two) gives a very big advantage to low-level PvE. And buying BoE blue swords does as well, Nightwatch at L15, Butcher at L24, then Im going to get those two level 40 swords from RFD and SM (quest rewards) and mongoose them, those will last me all the way to level 60 easy.
And having more HP at lower levels is not to cut down on the challenge (which as you stated is pretty bland), its main point is to keep from havint o rest.
I know how to start a Level 1 with almost 500HP as oppose to 75HP. What does this mean? I can basically steamroll without ever having stop, including fighting multiple mobs.
Its not about challenge, its just about making the level grind, less of a grind.

No. I don't understand why he thinks it's worthy to brag about.

What melee class has to rest between the levels of 1-8? It's actually hard to die at those levels, unless you're completely reckless or just incompetent. The only thing that ever held me back as a rogue was my energy.
I understand the fiery enchant... the blue BoE's not so much. You get a nice weapon for the next level or two, and then there is usually a green equivalent. So, it's just more wasted money. Not to mention the actual stat bonuses are not very significant, because you're lower level and you get less.
But, now I see why you need to buy cash. You waste it.
Joemomma5000 09-13-2009, 08:17 PM I used to be addicted to buffing my chars as much as possible while leveling. Now there are so many good reward items I rarely buff anything. That being said, it still happens :o
The World of Warcraft Armory (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Archimonde&n=Homojoe) for example.
It's tough because you want to be able to solo everything, kill as fast as possible and just get through leveling asap. Also it's nice being able to rock ppl higher level than you and every bit of gear helps. This is a horrible way to play though because you spend a small fortune on useless shit that doesn't last.
Mind you as a rogue you could solo sfk for one of these:
Butcher's Slicer - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6633)
then goto BFD for
Outlaw Sabre - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=16886) (quest reward so guaranteed)
then get your sm/rfd weapons?
Or just get a heirloom and forget about the whole thing.
They buffed items and nerfed mobs so much that pretty much anything for a rogue is overkill. Why not just crusader over mongoose? It's like 1/4 the cost.

Just get heirloom weapons and armor (the trinkets don't matter) and fill the rest out with quest rewards/shit you find.
