Alright so my bass needs some new strings. 4 string Ibanez SR400, still has the stock strings from when I bought it. Looking for strings that are good for metal/heavy music. That last a good amount of time.

I got some Marcus Miller DR Fatbeams on my bass, might be kinda bright for metal music, though I do play some heavy stuff with them.

I'd look at those, or other DR strings, personally.

My old bassist used to use these
Buy Rotosound SH77 Steve Harris Signature Bass Strings | .050 Gauge | Musician's Friend (http://accessories.musiciansfrie nd.com/product/Rotosound-SH77-Steve-Harris-Signature-Bass-Strings?sku=102833)

Expensive, but they were the shit.

GHS Infinity strings are head and shoulders above the others in my opinion when it comes to sound/life.

I put hi-beams on my bass. They sound excellent. They took a couple of weeks to settle down - at first, the bass sounded like a freaking piano.

I know this is a little off topic, but still in the interest of strings I just threw some flatwounds on my Ric and I'm really loving em.
