the pickel was good enough to post this in GD, and I thought it might be fun to try and come up with a creative dish or 2 or 3 in honor of this most magical of international celebrations
so, have any special bacon dishes you know? post them here
I'll post a few shortly I'm sure, just have to run to the butcher shop :sunny:

the overdone bacon wrapped scallops
then again, you can wrap pretty much anything in bacon and make it good
if you want a real treat, get some cornmeal crusted Canadian back bacon and make a sammich with that, a fried egg, and some cheese!

ok here we goooo
2 cups flour, 3 tsp baking powder, some thyme, oregano and parsley, 1/2 cup grated cheddar (had to use a half cup of wheat flour...ran out of white)

mix together well
but of course, cook up some bacon

5 Tbsp butter, cut it into the dry mixture, dice and add the bacon we just cooked and mix that in well

just for the hell of it, lets get a couple spoonfuls of bacon FAT OH YEAH (cit that in as well)

add a 1/2 cup of milk until the dough holds together, I added about a Tbsp more

spoon onto greased baking sheet...I should really get hotel pans..hmm...cook @ 400 for 10-12 minutes
