10k achievement points is kind of beyond "playing."

I think the guy deserves to be demeaned.

Pretty much, they don't have to work since companies sponsor them to the point they pay the bills so all they have to do is play WoW. I'm still puzzled over which companies in Europe do this and to what business-related-potentially-profitable end. I can really only see Asian countries doing shit like this, especially since in Korea alone SC1 players are pretty much on par with NFL/NBA/MLB athletes in terms of fame/celebrity status.

I don't know if it is true, but somebody said that they have a lot of people on unemployment there, some people get enough money from the government that they don't bother trying to get a job, and some of those play WoW to kill time.

In Europe or the U.S.? I could see it happening in the U.S. We are not only stupid enough to blindly dole out unemployment checks with less evidence but our bureaucracy is vast enough it becomes difficult finding the paper trail back to such people. But in Europe? I'd like to think they're a bit smarter about that than we are.

He's had 10k for a long time.

He actually hit 10K, lost it with 3.2, and has made it back.
