I would like to expand my horizons and try some fish tacos, i have been gorging myself with chicken tacos but its time for a change. I have found this recipe

Ingredients:
3 (6 ounce) cans solid white tuna packed in water, drained
1/2 (10 ounce) can sweet corn, drained
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
2 tablespoons salsa
1 lime, juiced
hot sauce to taste
salt and pepper to taste
sour cream, for topping
8 tostada shells
Directions:
With a fork, flake tuna into a bowl. Stir in corn, onion, cilantro, salsa, and lime juice. Season with a few dashes of hot sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine, then spoon onto tostada shells. Top each tostada with a dollop of sour cream and a bit more hot sauce.

This sounds ok, but im looking for something thats fuggin awesome. I would like to use canned or bagged tuna just due to ease of use but other than that i dont know what i want. The only detail i really have is that i use tortilla wraps instead of taco shells. So once again i await some wisdom

If you cant help with this maybe you can help with my lasagna thread found somewhere around this thread

#1 don't use canned tuna
#2 make your own salsa

cooking fish is easy, might I suggest mahi mahi?

salsa is as easy as cutting up some veggies and peppers and mixing it in a bowl.

take some oil (like veggie or canola) some jalapenos lime juice and cilantro mince it all up and whisk it together, throw a couple mahi mahi filets in there for 30 minutes or so then toss on a hot grill

cook the fish skin down for maybe 4 minutes on one side, flip over for 30 seconds or a minute and take off let it sit a few minutes (5?) then flake it,

toss some tortillas on a grill then put the fish in them with the salsa and some shredded cabbage and if you're feeling adventurous some white sauce and you're golden man.

for salsa, take tomato, cilantro, onion, salt, pepper, and some jalapeno or serrano chiles and cut them all up together and mix them in a bowl

maybe garnish with some sour cream (or preferably crema mexicana)

awesome.

maybe I'll make it and post some directions

you don't need a recipe for tacos

you just put whatever you think will taste good into a tortilla shell

Uhh what type of fish tacos you going for? Baja style is deep fried actually. Served with cabbage, crema, lime, cilantro and hot sauce.

Oh yeah on corn tortillas.

Take a firm mild white fish, mahi is fine as is snapper.
cut them into strips of 2"x3/4"x3/4"
dip them into an egg batter and use bread crumbs.
Fry until done.
Place them into two corn tortillas that are also toasted in oil
Top with Cabbage (shreds) and creme and small amount of cilantro
squeeze lime and add hot sauce as desired.
enjoy

then I grill it. I make a lime mayo to have with it too

Exactly....

Try using something like Talapia, Cod, Mahi Mahi etc. Something this is meaty and mild originally to let the other flavors shine thru and not be over powered. If you are a right coaster ever grouper could be a sub.

You are making a tuna taco and taking it literally. A tuna taco isn't really tuna and eaten totally different in a non-edible sort of way, most wives would say.
