What the recent patch says, is that there is no achievement in this game

Sorry but the game itself is just not interesting enough to get gear and then have it be outdated a few months later. If you could get gear that upscales with each patch...something above epic, it might help. Right now its same old same old. I unsubscribed.

The same, dps > heal > dps yada yada is such an old mechanic now. Same mechanic forever. I see this point in MMOs of this type as the slow decline.

yes it used to be. Now everyone has the same so they are relying on the actual gameplay to make it interesting. But its not....anymore. I mean how often is there someone saying..hey nice save or great job blocking...its just numbers. Lets view recount at the end of the boss fight and we'll see who did a good job. Thats ridiculous.

After BC came out they flooded the shit out of the game with easy to get gear and now they implemented this food stamp system for welfare T8.5 pieces, there's really no "showing off" of gear anymore in my opinion.

I still like to PvP and such but I'll probably be quitting soon.

newsflash, someone somewhere discovered the secret of MMOs, a field in which WoW has achieved Master Rank.

Guys like to upgrade and work on things. We like to take item A, and slowly turn it into item A*500. It doesn't matter what the medium is (cars, houses, model planes, their bodies), we just like to do that. It doesn't feel like as much of a grind if you consider it a hobby as opposed to a game.

Welcome to the world of MMOs. If gear scaled with each patch, then no MMO would have a playerbase due to people quitting all the time due to there being no real point in playing; do you honestly think people would still raid all the time if their gear was always as good as the newest content's?

I'm saying they could keep the epics, but make even rarer drops that scale up with patches. So you feel like you have something permanent till the next expansion.

I remember those days when getting an epic was exciting and you inspected everyone wandering around the commons in IF or the AH area in Org. Now though once you hit 80 you can run heroics and and either buy the craftable themselves or the mats to make them and pretty much be all purple.

It's pretty pathetic that people care that much about the status of "purpz". Good players know the difference between the tards with welfare epics and the pros with bis epics, etc.

I think the main problem now is so many people have gear/specs that look good but can turn out so horrible most raiders simply refuse to spend so much time trying people out to see who actually knows how to play or not.

i equipped my lokdelar in ironforge today and like 15 ppl asked me where i got it

I think the main problem now is so many people have gear/specs that look good but can turn out so horrible most raiders simply refuse to spend so much time trying people out to see who actually knows how to play or not.

It's easy to look at someone's gear/spec and tell if they're at least decent and put effort into their character if you know that class. Between that and requiring an application to your guild (so you can see who's too retarded to fill it out properly) you can weed out 90% of potential members.
