i've been thinking about getting a mandoline

but i rarely make food for enough people at home that i couldn't accomplish whatever pretty quickly with a knife

i hate getting stuff that ends up being useless but i feel obligated to use because it cost X dollars

i really want a mandoline

i have one.

the plastic piece on the inside broke and now the food goes up in the blade thing.

it did work good and was easy to clean but that one little plastic piece is crucial and it broke fairly fast

i have no cool kitchen gadgets tho :(
