Removing voice from a music track?

How hard is it to do? I'm trying to find an instrumental version of David Gray - This Years Love, no luck whatsoever... so I was wondering if there was a way to take his voice out of the song I have. I have very minimal experience with audio editing so if its too much of a hassle then I guess i'll have to find another song hah! Thanks for any help!

It's fairly difficult to do it well. Search removing vocals from music on youtube, they have some decent tutorials with free programs.

There's no easy way to do it without having access to the original tracks. If you can't find a program to help you, maybe you could get the MIDI file and put your own samples to it? Probably more trouble than it's worth.
