[T1] How in fuck do people disc jump off of nades?

Seriously that's badass. I know it's been around for a while, but I have not been playing during that while.

sometimes in shithole I get away with nade jumping base to base and capping.

I remember one time in duel mod someone threw a nade at me, then shot a disc at me which seemed to hit the nade, then a split second later I was mysteriously engulfed in a disc explosion. apparently the disc never hit the nade and actually ma'd me.
