i own an RG-7 White... its sick. the different sound you can create with this guitar is completely insane...

still waiting to figure out when to use it most... i mainly use my SG for any project.. but i want to start implementing some of my 7 string abilities and sounds i can manipulate in future compositions and possibly even in my new band...

I took one of my cheap guitars and strung it with 13-56 strings and tuned it B to B. It sounds....interesting. Not sure if I'd have a use for it.

I think one thing I will try is playing it in the goth band and trying to transpose some of the shit we play (mostly in D). If anything, it will have me playing different chord inversions with the other guitar player which will lead to a different sound.

I'm in the market for a 7 myself and am leaning to either a higher end dean or ibanez with a fixed bridge and emg 707 pickups only. I will not settle for less.


however, if you want a cheap one that isnt bad look at the lower level schecters or the agile interceptor 7 string. i'm hearing good things about those and they are like 300 bucks..cant beat that.

The cheapest Agile 7 I could find was $449.
