Hi guys, I have decided to make this public, it has been my secret tool for successful tribes playing for a very long time. It is a reticle that is totally clear, which makes it seem like you aren't playing with a reticle at all!!. Iffs and health and player names still show up though, how cool!

I will now release it.

Either I'm incredibly stoned, or I like it.

Update: I think I'm just incredibly stoned.

I dunno, I'm indifferent. :)

There's nobody on to give it real accurate assessment yet, but I will give it a shot tomorrow. :) For shits n' giggles... :ralf:

Update #2: A bit more sober today, and while this no crosshair business is probably a joke I was gullible enough to fall for ripped at 3:00am, I can see it's potential advantages / disadvantages. I think on a close-combat level, if you've been playing the game for as long as many of us have, having a reticle or not is a trivial matter. The IFFs and Player names still show up, so the visual cues are still there. I was still able to make most of my shots, even MAs and blaster, and it was fun to try and play solely based on feel. However, the long shots that need to be made will always be a hail mary of sorts using this, so that sucks.

I find it akin to the soldier running while holding his gun up to his face all the time, trying to be as accurate as possible while not being fully aware of his surroundings; as opposed to the schwarzenegger-esque soldier who feels out the battlefield and works more with the position of his body in relation others and goes for optimal wreckage instead of pinpoint accuracy. Both situations have their place at different times in Tribes.

Unfortunately, the situation for a precisely aimed longshot arises all too often, and is too enticing to permanently use this reticle (or lack thereof). :D I will stick with good ol' greeny.

And now you know.... the rest of the story.

This actually is useful when you want to run a hudbot reticle.
