I am pretty sure the diet plan is what makes this so "good".

im going through p90 first and then will do p90x. p90 is much more realistic to start with if you are an out of shape geek. it is for me anyhow.

i tried p90 but the workouts are too slow and not intense enough. i barley broke a sweat during them so i just stopped. right now im doing 20 miles a day on the bike and soon i'm going to start p90x along with that.

EXTREEEEEEEEME

It's basically a 90 day bootcamp. The diet plan is good but expensive if you don't have a lot of money, so if you just be smart and generally eat healthy you'll get good results (I didn't follow the diet plan verbatim). Probably the biggest plus of the program is the structure. Everything is already planned out for you, all you have to do is just follow instructions. Also if you don't have the time or inclination to go to the gym this program is for you. Pretty good variety in routines that cover every area of the body. All of them are pretty tough in their own ways, depending on how much you choose to challenge yourself. If you do push yourself you'll get amazing results, and you'll definitely notice improvements in sports. Key is to stick with it and don't quit, because it will get tough, especially the first few weeks, and the last month. If you're trying to gain weight, be sure to eat lots of calories and have something to replenish yourself after the routines (I just use a regular protein shake) I can't think of anything else, but good luck to you.

Yeah. I did the first 2 (back/shoulders and plyometrics). Only able to half of each and I couldn't go any further. I'm not a fatty but it is really hard if you aren't used to working out.

I would say both. For me, I definitely felt stronger much before I looked it, if I ever looked it. Unfortunately I got busy after I did it twice and I've been out of shape for 6 months (dont do that), although I am still way better off than I used to be. But anyway if you play alot of sports, or you like to run, you'll definitely notice it the most. I found my energy levels were increased, I could outlast others endurance-wise when playing any sport for sure. In general, it definitely gives you an edge and confidence. When I played basketball beforehand I could barely graze the rim while jumping, but afterwards I could jump with less effort and hang on it. I still can't dunk though, too white. Maybe after I finish another 90 days :D

I've been doing p90x for a while now and it's been kicking my ass. In addition to each p90x routine I also do 30m-1hr of jogging/elliptical/biking for a total workout of about 2 hours a day. I decided to start p90x after about 2.5 months of jogging/elliptical/biking 5 days a week and really hitting a plateau with my overall fitness.

I was having an incredibly tough time with p90x until I started using Max Muscle's Full Blown Extreme as a pre-workout energy drink. That alone has made a giant difference. I'm also using Max Muscle's MaxPro protein post workout. So far, so good.

looking over the ingredients to the extreme whatever the active ingredients are primarily caffeine and creatine. caffeine is probably have the more discernable effect. get some more sleep, it sounds like you might be overdoing it!

Which phase are you in and which specific routine(s) were hard for you?

You might get a little bit stronger. The results you'll see though are more from dieting than the actual program itself.

I'm pretty early in, just finished up the first "rest" week (week 4 of 13). The workouts I've found to be difficult are the chest & back routine (it's basically all pull-ups / push-ups) and the plyometrics workout.

The ab ripper workout is kinda tough, because it's supposed to be done on M/W/F after the primary routine. I'm usually pretty wasted after those workouts and doing a shitload of core training / sit-ups isn't really what I want to be doing at that point.
