they must've lost a lot of people for this letter to come out. it seems like no one is on in my guild anymore. then again, i play about 2 hours a week so what the fuck do I know.

Where are the changes to the actual mechanics of locking zones?
Where's the overhaul of keep sieging and the layout of the keeps themselves?
Where's the optimization of the engine and server so they can handle the amount of players it takes to siege a Fortress?
Where's the encouragement for players to roam in 6 mans instead of zerging?
Until those things are even acknowledged by Mythic, the game is pretty much dead for me.

Yes the game isnt setup very logically. Its too complicated and broad. If scenarios included keep sieges it would be smokin. But to have to wander around and maybe take a keep, relying on sending tells to everyone is just too much work.

That said this is shaping up to be DAoC 2.0, Mythic's inability to balance showing itself once more. (This time all the risk vs reward stuff is off.)

I'm pretty much a MMO noob (having only played planetside for a while), so I'm willing to give these guys more time to fix the game up. Maybe I'll be more jaded in a few months :)
I agree about the keep layout, having done a few attacks and defenses now. Me and 3 other Destro players managed to fight off around 12 Order guys on Monday...and we didn't get to the keep until they were already through the door and upstairs. They sucked and all, but that's freaking ridiculous.
Still, I'm glad to see they're making efforts, and I think the changes they're proposing will help a good deal

lol. I kind of feel bad for that guy, but then again it is fucking retarded that this has been in for months and if it is one line of silly code like that why has it taken forever to resolve.
