I have zero hope this game becomes balanced/good within the next year.
They nerfed the spec of DoK I constantly posted about pre-release on the private boards warning them about. I posted over and over about how imbalanced BW was and only saw buff after buff to placate the crying whiners. Also it seems the people who are team leads for these classes are working overtime to cry about how bad they are aka BW team lead who they listen to above all else is a complete fucktard who has no clue about balance except that he should demolish everything. In the end I see no future hope for this game. The idea is really good but the shit programming (some DoK skills are still broke), shitty nerfs/buff ideas, and general boring shit of doing 1 scenario every tier and the shit Tier 4 sieges I have to look forward to has made me cancel for the time being.
Maybe in a year when they get their heads out of their asses I might resub.
I guess posting log after log and damage screens and indepth explanations about why shit is overpowered/underpowered is disregarded compared to people who go "BW suck we die buff us plz we should 1 shot everything" (seriously there where people posting that shit).
Just for all the idiots who will question my judgement
CoK itself is a crit dependant heal debuff. Marauder already have a non crit dependent 100% of the time heal debuff that is 75% ability with a tactic. Not to mention that in fact CoK is "technically" easier to remove and has a simple c counter on a plentiful class. What I mean is that the WP gets a tactic that "cleanses" 1 curse everytime they heal someone, so if they group heal it removes 1 curse from everyone in their party, even their instants do this. This means it is actually easier to remove than a hex/etc.
Tactic called "cleansing Power"
So even at 100% there is a clear counter to curse afflicting DoK's
Of course with the clusterfuck of hexes/curses/cripples/dots system they have that makes no consistent sense this skill along with curse of khaine probably doesn't work at the moment. Considering that I believe CoK and CoC are considered buffs and right click removable (haven't tested but have heard).
Combine this with the fact they still have numerous skills on melee characters that are INT based for some godawful reason and that The highest tier ability in Torture doesn't even function, while the others DoT components are hilariously bad.
The only viable build on a DoK, by viable I mean useful compared to other classes, is the Dark Rites spamming build, which is okay.
