This should be good times. Maybe if the PQs prove popular they'll make a couple permanent ones in the RvR lakes, to attract more players to those areas.

I think PQs in the rvr lakes is an awesome idea.

We'll definitely have groups running in the tier 4 one. This sounds like tons of fun. :)

Maybe it's almost a test to see how PQs work in the lakes, would give them good foresight on how they will do when just a shit ton of people go to them.

Probably. By doing it as a "special Halloween event" they won't be under pressure to make the PQs permanent. If they have technical or other issues they can shut down the PQs after November 2nd and either go a different direction or tweak their code. If the PQs prove to be very popular, and players flock to the RvR areas, I imagine the quests will become a permanent feature.

Players don't go into the lakes (especially if their faction controls the BOs) because they don't want to get out there and sit on their asses for an hour waiting to see if anyone wanders through. I like this idea simply because it'd give players something to do in the RvR lakes while waiting for action to pick up. *Knowing* there's at least PvE action and decent drops in the RvR lakes will tempt players to cruise out there. Once they see the renown and exp they pull when they crush some other player's head, they'll be back again and again.

So I went with my level 20 in the tier 3 zone. I place 8th out of 25+. Rolled 4th and couldnt' find the stupid chest. lame.

But on a good note Destruction was beating us...like 80 to 72 kills in the PQ. I stood in a group of 4 heros near the base and someone AOE'd me. Needless to say alot of Destruction died and we ended up winning.

This was lots of fun today. We've been defending our keep in Black Fire Pass all day. Got to kill a few Bioderms as well. My internet decided to go down on the second siege attempt by destro. :(

anyway, won a pretty nice ring with +8 magic damage on it (unclear on what exactly that does - I'm thinking an extra 8 damage on every spell) and got a mask from a player drop.

Diamondrose and I were running around skirmishing with destro. Was quite fun. :)

We got a shit ton of experience when we met up with the zergs and placed 1 and 2 for contibution AND in the end, which is a first in WAR history, I'm sure. ;)
