After watching Beehay's kickass sniping video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UQm7HrxTGk) the other night, I decided to make my own. I am pretty happy with the outcome and hope you will be too. All shots made by phanakapan (me lols) from October 23-26, mostly in pubs. The song is Prefuse 73 - "Drum Machine, Cello, Headwrap". Recorded using Fraps, edited with Adobe Premier Pro CS2, and compressed with VirtualDub using the Xvid codec (http://www.digital-digest.com/software/download.php?sid=1052&ssid=0&did=1).
I'd like to give shoutouts to SteveOxy for making me nearly fall out of my chair laughing after the first shot in the video. Also, shoutouts to Ultima112 and TheEnemyTurret for their kickass overdrive returns after a couple of my shots. And last but absolutely not least, I would like to give a shoutout to the supar people I play with so often (you know who you are) and all the folks who show up regularly (and not so regularly) to the nightly pickups.

pm me for a download link to the high quality version (still looking for a mirror)
The file is big, but you can clearly see who I kill in each shot because of the quality so I think it is worth checking out. I have a decent host so speeds should be pretty good and if it eats up too much bandwidth I'll rehost somewhere else.
*As a side note, I finally decided to figure out how to actually snipe and fraps at the same time. I play on a laptop designed for video editing, not gaming, and have had lots of trouble in this department until now. While making this video I used 800x600 resolution with 35fps while recording and only saw hiccups every now and then (a few are noticeable in the video). The lower the resolution the better is obvious, but higher frame rates are also better for performance (to a point). If you've been having issues with fraps, try tweaking it with something like this approach and let us know how it goes. I still haven't been able to get rid of the horizontal banding caused by the fraps codec that's causing the pixelated edges and fuzzy text. It only seems to happen on my machine at lower/weird resolutions and is probably related to the fact that it is widescreen.
