The Pumpkin King 10-23-2008, 04:04 AM I have to say... This game is pretty damn sweet.
I mean, I don't even have to grind. I'm just realizing
this now. I've been playing the game for a while,
but now with the pvp exp boost, I fully realize that quests
are a thing of the past.
I can roll a character, run the very first 5 or so noob quests
in like 10 minutes, then jump into pvp and start leveling.
I'm leveling in pvp faster than I can questing.
This is great...
Falhawk 10-23-2008, 08:52 AM its like a poem
Patton 10-23-2008, 08:56 AM yes
a haiku
it should be titled "no one cares but i'll make a new thread anyway"
DrJonez 10-23-2008, 09:45 AM Wow, weird. I was just asking where PK was on vent last night :)
Gringo 10-23-2008, 09:56 AM Sup pk.
It'll be great until they do something to nurf scenarios, then you'll be back to quest grinding with some sort of sporadic PVP.
Falhawk 10-23-2008, 09:58 AM between sc's, pq's, open rvr, and regular questing there isn't much need to grind.
its not like quests are tough or time consuming
Goofy 10-23-2008, 10:25 AM At times I would say scenarios are a grind :/
Fitty 10-23-2008, 10:27 AM I would agree with you if you are doing the same map over and over
Goofy 10-23-2008, 10:39 AM I would agree with you if you are doing the same map over and over
Not to mention its absolutely pointless to pug with order on this server.
Fitty 10-23-2008, 10:43 AM pugs are a no go for me
I never did it in wow and I would probably ctrl-k if I tried in WAR
one scenario being played at each tier is pretty much grinding
if i have to play serpent's passage for the rest of the game then i'm pretty much spent
Falhawk 10-23-2008, 11:11 AM don't queue for that one and do other things in the meantime.
If you're only playing the game for its scenarios you'll be done pretty soon I think
DrJonez 10-23-2008, 12:01 PM The scenarios are fun, but that keep attack we did last night was by far the most fun I've had in PvP yet. It got frustrating because we weren't really making any progress, but just running around beating people down, the dynamics of having to ram the door, siege equipment, it was all pretty cool. I could definitely see spending a lot of time in the end game running around and sieging keeps :)
Falhawk 10-23-2008, 12:04 PM i'm glad they fixed the rams, that was much better than it used to be.
the only frustrating thing was the fact that were 7 of us, half barely into T2 as it was and we were joining a siege in progress that was completely disorganized.
Actually I guess it was all kinds of frustrating. We were on the lord with like 4 tanks handling all the bodyguards etc and I look over to the stairs and see like 3 tanks just hanging out there. Seriously wtf. Meanwhile 7 of us on vent are coordinating but trying to get the other 13 random dudes to listen was akin to wrangling kittens.
Goofy 10-23-2008, 12:14 PM pugs are a no go for me
I never did it in wow and I would probably ctrl-k if I tried in WAR
Problem is, sometimes (a lot of the time) its the only option.
Falhawk 10-23-2008, 12:22 PM what server are you on goofy?
we've got SC groups going nightly
Fitty 10-23-2008, 12:32 PM Problem is, sometimes (a lot of the time) its the only option.
I don't think you would ever have that problem with BE or us.
Gringo 10-23-2008, 02:20 PM Serpent's Passage.
Fuck. That.
If you drop that queue and stay queued for the others, you'll wait 30+ minutes, then end up in an imbalanced scenario that ends 2 minutes in when it's 3v5.
Why aren't the other scenarios popping?

nothing wrong with pugs :)
Goofy 10-23-2008, 03:14 PM I don't think you would ever have that problem with BE or us.
I'm in BE and I have to rock bg's solo most of the time. And yea Graphicx, there can be good pug games too, but 9/10 its such a waste of time. Yesterday I did ~15 bg's between t1/t2 and only 2-3 of those had healers on Order side.
I agree Gringo, I've done nothing but Nordenwatch and Mourkins Temple.
