I'd like to see a FPS like TF2 have a point system that gave you more points for performing actions that were integral to your team's success. Also, have more or less points for kills, depending on what class you are, compared to what you killed (spy vs pyro or scout vs heavy).

It'd be cool to see people that do nothing but kill other players never reach the top half of the scoreboard.

examples of extra point scoring actions:

pushing the payload (something like 1 point for every 3 seconds)
stopping the payload from rolling backwards
capping/defending a point
killing players on their cap point / on your cap point
getting a game winning cap (either the last CP or the intel cap that put you ahead of the other team)
killing the last intel runner that carried the intel before it was returned to the base (not captured)
killing players within proximity to your intel (like half a point if they were 30ft or closer)
killing a medic that has an undeployed uber
killing a class that is meant to counter you
destroying deployables
extra points awarded every 5 kills in a single life
extra points for killing the guy mentioned above
destroying turrets while uber charge is active (points to the medic)
killing spies that are sapping your team's deployables

Some of these already do award extra points, but are weighed so poorly that kills make up the majority of the scoreboard. List some All-Star shit you've done, and wished you received recognition for.

There are a bunch of different things that already get added. Medics get assists while healing other players, engineers get points from people using their teleport, pyros get points for setting others on fire, snipers get extra points for headshots, etc. Most of these things don't get you a full point, but they do add up.

I wish I get points when I hold an uber back with the pyro.

you already get points for pushing and stopping the payload. you have to be on it for like 5 seconds and you get a capture.
