TF2 is continually freezing on me

I can't play for longer than 10 minutes anymore without the game locking intoo a sound loop and then giving me a million graphic glitches. I have no idea what is going on since I never really had this problem before. Halp!

Sounds like it could be a heat issue, when's the last time you cleaned out your case?

artifacts is almost always the case for overheating.

Sadly, it's been awhile since I've done it. I'll put it on the list for tomorrow and hope it does the trick

Heh, it sounds like I'm not the only having problems then. I started crashing several Steam/TF2 updates back.

Here are the things I did this morning and they seemed to have worked:

1. Cleaned out case
2. Installed newest drivers
3. Restarted

Now it's like nothing had ever been wrong in the first place (knock on wood)

This happened to me recently, and it was the case cleaning that fixed it. I had so much dust my fans were reluctant to spin.
