For those of you thinking of going Demonologist, don't

Figured I'd throw out a fair warning to anyone who's contemplating it.

Demos are annoying. When they jump me I sit in that stupid root for about 10 seconds while they spam fireballs at me, until I finally get out to charge/1shot them.

10 seconds? If you're talking about our lightning root it shouldn't last that long, it has a built in dot/root break. In fact the dot from the fire itself should have a chance to break it as well.

Got a demo up to 71, definitely not the least bit fun. Pet is worthless, I have 7-11 buffs I use at any given time, and I'm paper thin. Supposedly come 80 we put out great dps in raids, but I play this game to PvP, and we have shit for burst damage on top of being paper thin. We have a few CC's that are nice in group PvP, but their range is shit.

Yeah, should add this in all fairness. A conflag (fire) specced demo will be doing the most damage in raids. Thing is, this damage will be all AoE on trashmobs, in boss fights they will be plauged by constant misses and lack of a true single target nuke.

oh and the big fixes today:

1. I can summon a MALE demon!
2. I no longer have to recast 1 of my 10 buffs (not an exaggeration) upon death
3. A name change in one of the spells, will have to go in game to see what it's about.

Class is fine. All casters do well leveling via AOE and do fine in pvp. Every class is honestly fine except bear shaman/Assassin need work.

I have a hard time believing that in group pvp at 80 against another group of COMPETENT players that demonologists will perform well at all. I define competent as being slightly smarter than a retarded toddler, but most mmo players don't fit that category.

the pets are useless especially for pvp. Remoes your hiding and tells people what class you are. Just ditch them. Casters are imbalanced in pvp. If you are playing anything besides a ToS, PoM, Demo or Necro you're weak. Demo's are fine.

Most don't bother to travel with them as they serve to do little more than bring out the fact that you are a Demo.
